Complete Self Protection Seminar

On 28th March 2009 the Bristol School of Self Defence proudly hosted an amazing 5-hour seminar by two of the UK’s leading self protection experts - Al Peasland and Mick Tully.

An Interview with Al Peasland
January 2009

With over 20 years of reality based martial arts training and as Geoff Thompson’s longest serving student in the Real Combat System, Al Peasland has brought together effective techniques from a wide range of arts and blended them into one self-protection system.

In addition, with many years experience as a nightclub doorman, Al has put his own life on the line in order to pressure test all of the techniques and concepts taught in his Complete Self Protection system.

Al has kindly allowed the Bristol School of Self Defence to interview him to find out more about his incredible life dedicated to protecting himself and others from violence.

Instructors Climb Pen-y-Fan
January 2009

The Bristol School of Self Defence instructors (Lea, Paul, Tony & Chloe) kicked off their New Year fitness regime with a bang and climbed to the top of Pen-y-Fan on Sunday 4 January (one of the coldest days of the year)! At 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is the highest peak in Britain south of the Snowdonia mountain range.
