Ground Defence

The aim of this seminar is to give you the skills to confidently and effectively escape from an attack on the ground.  This seminar will be looking at what happens if you end up on the floor during an attack, with your assailant either stood over you, or on the floor with you.  You will earn realistic, proven, easy to apply self defence techniques that are suitable for both experienced martial artists and complete beginners alike.

Self protection tips

How to fall safely (breakfalling)

Developing the spirit to fight back and win

Defending yourself on the ground with an attacker standing

Defending yourself on the ground with an attacker on the floor with you

The application of holds to restrain/stop an attacker

How to get up safely from the floor

Cost

£25 per person.

Please note that students must be aged 16 years or over.

Please read our Pre-Course Information prior to the seminar.

Places are limited to a maximum of 20 people and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Monthly Seminars

Our monthly seminars are designed to teach you all areas of self protection, self defence, avoidance and awareness. Our aim is to prevent people from becoming the victims of violent crime by avoiding confrontation. However, there are times when physical defence is necessary.  Therefore, our courses contain a mixture of self protection advice, verbal control and diffusion, and physical self defence techniques.

The monthly seminars are suitable for people of all levels of fitness and experience, from complete beginners to experienced martial artists.  There is a very friendly, fun, informal atmosphere to our courses and it is a great way to make new friends.
